  • Supporting the annual Turkey Trot for DMS families in need.
  • Organizing and chaperoning student socials/dances.
  • Building raffle baskets, counting pennies, and selling snacks in support of school fundraising events.

Arrival/Departure Info

  • Arrival/drop off procedure: On Friday, October 27, parents/families are asked to drop off students on the cafeteria side of the building for the School Social. Traffic flow should mirror procedures for drop off daily to school. Traffic will be directed to turn right into the large parking lot near Hartwood Elementary and loop around to the cafeteria side of the building. Students are to exit vehicles on the cafeteria side and walk to the front of the building. Access will only be permitted into the school through the front doors.
  • Departure/pick up procedure: Pick up from the School Social will begin at 7:50 p.m on Friday, October 28. Parents/families are asked to park their vehicles and walk to the front of the school to pick up their student. Cars are not permitted to be parked along any of the curbs around the building.

Volunteers Needed!

We are hearing a lot of interest in the Social and expect a big turnout, but we need you! Be on the lookout for volunteers on social media via Facebook or Instagram. This is an extremely popular event BUT we need a lot of parent volunteers to make this work. Volunteering can be as simple as chaperoning for two hours of the event. MUST HAVE CLEARANCES!

Other Info

  • Dress however you are comfortable! Dress up, dress down, do or don’t wear neon, totally up to you.
  • If you do bring your own light up items/jewelry, please make sure it is nothing with strobe features.

The PTO needs you!

The only way we can support these events is with help from our parent volunteers. You can make a difference in our school.
